Responsibilities

Practice highlights:

•    1:5 Call 
•    Approximately 625 births and 230 surgical cases annually 
•    Level 1 well newborn nursery (35 weeks)
•    Collaborative relationship with 4 Family Medicine and 3 midwives in clinic and on the Labor Deck for first call support
•    High risk OB care and gyn subspecialty care in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester colleagues (45 min away) 
•    Intuitive Da Vinci Xi Robotic surgery platform available for trained surgeons. 
•    Office Hysteroscopy available
•    Ultrasound service available in clinic provided by radiology sonographers
•    Research and leadership growth opportunities available and encouraged

Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, MN is seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN physician to join our current group in Austin and Albert Lea providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic team in providing excellent and compassionate care to our communities. You are expected to work in a collaborative and team-based approach along with the other OBGYNs, Family Medicine Providers and Midlevel providers (CNM and NP).

Our model utilizes an integrated team approach, with primary delivery support being performed by our CNM and Family Medicine OB teams.  You will provide support for both high risk obstetrical patients and gynecologic patients as needed.  Subspecialty services are available at Mayo Clinic Rochester including: MFM, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, and reproductive endocrine and infertility. As part of a health care system, consultations are also readily available from other specialties as well.

Teaching opportunities for medical students, PA, NP, and CNM students as well as OBGYN residents is available and encouraged.

The Austin Birthing Center delivers over 600 babies per year and is consistently ranked as high performing by US news and world report.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $307,250 to $843,000 . This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
