Responsibilities
This Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position involves providing care to adults with inflammatory bowel disease. Provisions of care include, but are not limited to, comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment, ordering and interpretation of tests and procedures, and prescription of pharmacologic agents, treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies. The patient population seen includes adult patients with chronic ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. This position will involve practice primarily with gastroenterologists as well as with research staff for clinical trials. The position will have opportunities to participate in clinical research as well as in education of patients and medical professionals.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and APRN license and certification as an ANP or FNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Position requires DEA registration. BLS certification required.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
