Responsibilities
We invite you to consider a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity to join the Outpatient Hematology practice at Mayo Clinic as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and collaborative clinician who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and developing expertise in a highly specialized hematology practice. This APP will be an essential member of our multidisciplinary Outpatient Hematology team, working alongside nationally recognized physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and research staff to care for patients with complex hematologic disorders.
In this role, you will provide care for adult patients with dysproteinemias, including multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, Waldenström macroglobulinemia, MGUS, and other plasma cell disorders. This position offers the opportunity to practice at the forefront of hematology, including management of patients receiving novel therapies, cellular therapies, and clinical trial treatments.
Responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive patient assessment and disease management
- Ordering and interpretation of laboratory and radiologic studies
- Diagnosis and prognostic evaluation
- Management of standard-of-care and clinical trial therapies
- Care of patients receiving CAR-T cell therapy and bispecific antibody therapies
- Management of treatment-related toxicities and disease complications
- Longitudinal outpatient care across the full disease spectrum, including:
- Observation of stable disease
- Active treatment management
- Post-treatment follow-up
- Goals-of-care and end-of-life discussions
This position offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while developing deep expertise in a highly specialized area of hematology.
Training and Team Environment
APPs in Outpatient Hematology complete a structured and supportive orientation designed to build confidence, independence, and clinical expertise. You will be trained to practice with a high level of autonomy while working in a collaborative, team-based environment with Hematology consultants and fellows, experienced APP colleagues, nursing staff, pharmacists, clinical research coordinators, and administrative and scheduling support staff.

Total Compensation
Benefit-eligible employees (50-100% FTE) receive up to 7 trip days (commensurate with time away from practice as approved off the schedule by a supervisor) and an annual allotment of $4,400 in CME.

Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP. DNP preferred.
OR
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration. BLS required.
Additional Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Hematology background with experience as an APP or completion of APP Hematology fellowship strongly preferred.
