ResponsibilitiesMayo Clinic’s Senior Program Manager- Digital Technology will work in the Department of AI Implementation and Adoption with the purpose of extending our expertise through digital, data and AI enablement to consumers, patients, and providers to improve their health journey. The senior program manager will provide expertise for complex programs to ensure they can execute Mayo Clinic’s digital roadmap. The Senior Program Manager will lead the team in establishing program direction, identifying interdependencies, communicating program requirements, tracking progress, making decisions, and resolving conflicts and issues for complex program assignments.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for guiding the Agile product team in planning and developing scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan and timing for complex initiatives.
• Coordinates work of multiple products/teams through integrated quarterly planning and backlog/roadmap development.
• Understands product strategy, and objectives and ensures organizational alignment to organizational strategy.
• Achieves visibility and transparency across product teams.
• Manages program/initiative risks and interdependencies, including mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
• Leverages data and metrics to communicate status reporting, and monitor ongoing program progress and performance.
• Ensures operational feasibility and readiness for products.
• Uses innovative thinking and advanced facilitation skills to build relationships across the organization. Characterized by the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
• Overall program responsibility for a set of interrelated projects of very large size and/or high complexity, under the direction of senior level leadership.
• Leads a high-performing cross-functional team that collaborates effectively and efficiently with business partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Communicates complex technical information in unambiguous terms to management and end users.
• Mentors members of the team.
• Supports strategic program planning, including roadmap development and execution of multi-year initiatives that may involve multiple interrelationships and complexities, requiring the development and execution of complex program plans.
• Serves as an internal subject matter expert regarding Agile program management practices, methods, and standards.
• Actively seeks to understand new and emerging technologies, their capabilities and potential applicability to Mayo Clinic needs.
• Fosters an internal culture of positive teamwork and transparency that drives excellent service, quality, diversity of thought, an engaging work environment, and an overall continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience managing projects and programs involving multiple technical programs involving multiple technological environments which range in complexity and demonstrates increased depth of responsibilities (13+ years)
• Experience in program management and working knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Must demonstrate mastery in the application of PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas. Possession of an active Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or a comparable current certification from a nationally recognized program management governance body with a specialized emphasis in program management is preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, consensus-building, and listening skills.
• Demonstrated competencies in strategic and systems thinking, decision making, leading people, change management, influence without authority, and be able to successfully handle and navigate ambiguous situations.
• Possess a consumer-centric mindset, humanistic and agile approach aimed at delivery of valuable outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders with different needs and requirements.
• Experience navigating transformation in highly regulated industries is a plus.
• Ability to lead through influence and direct multiple complex products in an ambiguous environment.

Compensation Detail$148,137.60 - $214,760.00/ year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
