ResponsibilitiesRobots already work at Mayo Clinic, cleaning our floors, moving millions of laboratory specimens, and assisting in our operating rooms. Yet this is less than one percent of what is possible. Over the next decade, robotics will advance from sensor-driven, single-purpose machines to AI-driven autonomous systems, including generalist and humanoid robots, and Mayo Clinic intends to lead across that entire continuum, from the operating room to the loading dock. The Mayo Clinic Robotics Program exists to pioneer human-centered robotics that expands access and creates an empowered, safe, more personalized, and convenient experience for patients and staff, cementing Mayo Clinic as the global leader in healthcare while freeing our people for the human work of healing. Within this program, the Senior Technical Business Analyst - Robotics does the groundwork that makes robotics succeed. Before a robot can free a nurse from a supply run or a technician from a repetitive task, someone must understand exactly how that work happens today. This analyst is that someone: observing and mapping clinical and operational workflows, translating requirements between the people who do the work and the engineers who will automate parts of it, building the cost and value analyses that determine whether automation is worth it, and documenting the playbooks that carry each effort's learning forward. Robotics requirements must capture the physical world, the operational tempo of hospitals and laboratories, and the human workflows a robot joins, and this analyst makes those realities explicit.
