Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic is seeking a chair to lead the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona.
Mayo Clinic psychiatrists and psychologists provide consulting services for patients referred by their Mayo Clinic physician in support of the integrated care of programs and services.
The chair will provide overall strategic direction and oversee the ongoing performance of the department, be responsible for recruitment and retention of outstanding staff, and ensure the alignment and development of critical resources to achieve goals for each of the three Mayo shields: clinical practice, research, and education.

Qualifications
- Board certified in Psychiatry
- Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor is strongly preferred
- Evidence of continued academic and scholarly activity
- Proven success as a leader
- Strong understanding of clinical practice
- On-going practice innovation
- Adept at mentoring junior staff
- Ability to build relationships and networks globally
- Recognized as an expert in their field
