^Licensed Practical Nurse

^Social Services Coordinator

As a Social Services Coordinator at Charter House, Mayo Clinic Senior Living Community, you will be immersed in the person-centered living environment where the needs of the resident are our first priority. You will be actively involved with the residents of Charter House developing, implementing, and evaluating our systems and programs to ensure their needs are being met. Charter House Social Service Coordinators utilize a full-range of social service skills including information and referral, admission and discharge responsibilities. They also develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services to meet the social service needs of Charter House residents, as well as conduct information and referral, recruitment, admissions and discharge functions. Finally, they supper! and fill-in other social service needs through Charter House as needed.

^Fitness & Wellness Specialist

As a Charter House Fitness/Wellness Specialist you are responsible implementing a robust fitness/wellness program that meets the needs of a diverse population of residents. The Fitness/Wellness Specialist is responsible for providing a service oriented and welcoming environment to all persons who visit the Charter House Fitness/Wellness Center. Charter House Fitness/Wellness Specialists plan, organize, implement and evaluate programs that meet the fitness/wellness goals of our resident population which ranges from age 50 to over 100 Charter House Fitness/Wellness Specialists develop programming based on the latest evidence based health promotion research. Charter House Fitness/Wellness Specialists perform functional fitness tests and design individualized fitness programs based on the needs of the resident. Charter House Fitness/Wellness Specialists work closely with other Charter House team members creating fitness and wellness programming opportunities that embody imagination and creativity enabling the residents of Charter House to live their best life.

^Recreation Therapist

As a Recreation Therapist at Charter House, Mayo Clinic Senior Living Community, you are provided the opportunity to plan, organize, and implement a robust activity program for the diverse residents who reside at Charter House. Following the resident-based philosophy of Charter House, planning assures that the programming is meaningful and is based on each resident's unique history and background.

^Resident Service Center Representative

 Charter House Resident Service Representatives are the face of Charter House, serving the residents of Charter House in every way possible. Charter House Resident Service Representatives are responsible for welcoming and screening all visitors to Charter House and assist them in determining where they need to be as well as announce their arrival to the appropriate resident or staff contact. Resident Servuce Representatives are responsible for the security of our residents' safety and deny access to unauthorized visitors and handle difficult situations if they arise. Resident Service Representative answer and direct all incoming telephone calls, are responsible for sorting all incoming mail, packages, and deliveries, as well as provide information assistance to residents and visitors regarding Charter House, Mayo Clinic, and Rochester locations and services. They also respond to all emergency situations (security, fire, weather, alarms, and resident e-calls) by following established protocols. Perform administrative/clerical duties including maintaining reference materials (telephone & resource lists), using pager system, printing/copying/mailing, and other support tasks for Charter House department programs and activities.

^Custodian

 Regularly cleans, maintains supplies and services to public areas and offices as well as conference/meeting rooms in Charter House. The position will require candidate to take an ownership to an area, working with staff and supervisors in assigned area to ensure that the space is neat, clean, and orderly. Position also assists with catering and event set-ups. Candidate must be able to prioritize work depending on meeting/event schedule and department.  Continually perform tasks such as lifting, distributing material, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and upholstery and carpet cleaning. Provides evening shift facilities services coverage of building and weather emergencies, (fires, severe weather, etc.). Custodial Services is also in charge of furniture and equipment moves as well as extra assigned tasks as department needs fluctuate within Charter House.

 

^Housekeeping Assistant

 This position will be working in the Custodial and Housekeeping areas. This position will be cleaning for residents' independent living apartments weekly. Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and be able to work with vulnerable adults. Is aware of changes in apartment residents' behavior, health, or habits and reports to management or during regular meetings with Director of Resident Services. Provides cleaning for the Short Term Rehabilitation Center unit, Supportive Living Center, Assisted Living Centers, and Guest apartments daily. Conducts (resident safety) security check of apartments weekdays or weekends. Removes trash, soiled linen, and recyclables from areas cleaned. Processes personal and Charter House linen within the building and organizes and delivers linen processed by outside contractor. Routinely uses Universal Precautions and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when performing job assignment. Keeps work area and equipment in a clean and safe manner. Uses cleaning supplies provided in a safe and efficient manner to achieve appropriate cleaning levels. Uses and cleans housekeeping equipment according to department guidelines. Custodial services will include cleaning public areas.

 

^Maintenance Technician

 Repairs and maintains all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical throughout the building. There is a one out of four week rotation, with on call hours which requires a half an hour response time. Assists the maintenance generalist and painting personnel as need arises.

Communicates with residents and staff as repairs prior to repairs being performed that will impact them. Participates on the construction and remodeling team. Works with fire suppression network software program. Must be able to utilize building automation software program, and have understanding of building systems along with coordination of building systems.

 

Internships

^Paid Summer CNA Internship

 The purpose of this internship is to provide and assist with the direct care of the elderly resident. To assist with activities of daily living, promoting the highest practicable level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. To have a working awareness of state and federal regulations. Responsible to provide direct care duties in a timely manner, interact politely and professionally with Health Center residents, family members, visitors, and staff. Float to other areas of Charter House.

 

^Unpaid Intern - Fitness & Wellness

 The purpose of this position is to gain understanding and experience on developing, implementing and evaluating programs and services to meet the fitness/wellness needs of residents including conducting classes, assessments, one-on-one training sessions, program planning and implementation, and participating in other Fitness/Wellness Program events and activities.

 

^Unpaid Intern - Recreation Therapy

 The purpose of this internship is to gain understanding and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programs and services to meet the needs of residents. Some tasks may include conducting assessments, program planning & implementation, and participating in other Charter House Recreation Therapy program events and activities.
